I was watching the finish of the Tour of the Alps today which finishes in Innsbruck, and I was thinking that it looked pretty familiar in terms of terrain. Turns out that the finish was basically the same finish as Innsbruckring which a lot of us had done before. Would have been cool to see them to Legsnapper but the route didn’t go that way. Thought you might think this is cool.
I’ve also ridden a lot of that route in real life and the little short climb that goes up to where the cable car runs.
Cross the river, go up Höttinger Gasse and then go up Höhenstraße to Hungerberg. That’s a lovely little climb:
It’s a really nice city for riding bicycles. Well actually just nice in general.
It would be lovely if the Innsbruck world could be expanded with a few more of these roads around Innsbruck and further out (Kuhtai for instance or even the big Timmelsjoch).
