Tour de Zwift Race: Flying racer?

hi there,

after finishin the race today behind the first blob, i just saw that there was a guy that finished in first with almost 5 min before everyone. During the race i didnt realise any breakeway.

looking to the numbers, is realistic to assume that a rider had 1W/kg last then the 2nd, 3rd, etc can finish 5 min before everyone without having any draft by being alone in a breakaway…

See this topic:

It does seem unusual to be that far ahead with quite a lot less power.

thanks Chris, i couldnt find this rider on Zwiftpower. i even wrote to him just to know if it was real, which i dont think it was. he would have to have way more power then the peloton to keep alone in front and for such a long time

Something is weird. Your results are in the D pen, but in the screenshots from his ride he is in C. Some of the other riders in the screenshots did the short route group ride, not the race. I wonder if somehow he did the short group ride but his results are showing in the race. I don’t even know how that would be possible.

Similar problem was brought up for a different day’s event.

Look at the winner of C category for race event ID# 5289598 as well as his other activity (the TdZ ride that he finished that started 10 minutes earlier)

Not sure how this happens

  1. John, how can i search for a race ID? in zwiftpower? i couldnt find. thanks

You can search in ZwiftPower but search is also quick and easy in zwiftracing.app results

the race id number is usually at the end of the URL for an event , so you can just cut and paste it also.
eg. in Zwift’s events pages: eg. ht tps://www.zwift.com/events/view/5289598

in Zwiftpower’s events pages: eg. ht tps://zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=5289598
