Get rid of the “Close the Gap” message? Add a Draft Indicator?
Can’t happen yet. Can it? It’s only been 8 years. Zoon though…

I get “Close the Gap” in the middle of a tight group. It is useless at this point.
No, good suggestions are archived - Problem solved!
EDIT: That is not quite true. There are still some active feature requests about the drafting indicator:
+1 for Apple Watch support…
Latest is that will be out around the same time as route-based workouts
The September 2023 This Season On Zwift announcement said Zwift Racing Score was being released. What’s the status on that?
Why even put in the work to make this change? So you get the standard fields that are there now, and then you can pick ride-average power or kcal burned (but not kJ?) for a fourth field? Oh and there’s a color bar for HR. Taking cues from Peloton now. Great stuff.
@evan-zwift maybe consider pizza slices burned for one of the fields to really improve the user experience
I’m optimistic about this whole initiative to improve the HUD.
From what I see from your picture, I’m a bit concerned that the fields I care about will only be available in the upper left panel and not in the center panel.
The fields in the left panel can easily be too small to read.
I hope all fields can be placed in all locations in the left and center panels.
Why not keep the route progression/profile in the center HUD where the progression has always been, and put the larger gradient graph under the mini-map? Also get rid of the redundant gradient that is cluttering up the mini-map.
Sounds like the central gradient graph is only there in the new “Climb Mode” (presumably similar to climb modes on bike computers that are triggered by climbs).
I just hope they’re considering how crowded that’s going to look with a bunch of power-ups/coffee cups enabled and/or close the gap messages. Also wondering what will happen to the timer/placing info that pops up when you get close to the top of a climb.
That screenshot isn’t from a section of road that I would consider ‘a climb’. Your suggestion is a good one, but that screenshot looks otherwise.
Apple Watch support not mentioned… hope it comes out “this season”
Wasn’t average power a huge no-no because racers would use it to ensure they didn’t bust category limits - then sprint for the win?
Mind you, they just use their Garmin Edge to do the same thing…
I use my Garmin edge to track my average power when I’m riding Ventoux in Zwift, I got the lap button when I cross the start line. It’s useful to compare from one day to the next.
Fingers crossed for Normalized Power in the HUD as well.
Good point. If people can use Avg Power, it opens the door for cheating in Zwift.
Right?
People don’t cheat in Zwift /sarcasm
I remember people whinging about it when average power was first requested to be shown. It was the example they made.
Soon we’ll have some much info you’ll not even recognize your on zwift. Can we just have an option to turn things on and off, not everyone wants/needs to know how strong a draft is or what the gradient is…
I’m very excited to see and try it out for myself! Great work and thank you!
