Previously ran Zwift off an ipad (not the latest version - probably 5 yrs old model) with no issues. I changed to using a Surface Pro, what a disappointment. Loading the program takes several minutes to load and compatibility in general is questionable. Has anyone else had similar issues?
If it’s a Surface Pro with an ARM64 CPU then you’re not running Zwift as a native executable. Exactly which model is it?

That should be adequate and supported by Zwift. I’m not sure what explains the slow load time unless there’s other junk running on it that is consuming excessive CPU or memory. Sometimes it helps to do a clean Windows install to ensure that it isn’t bogged down with pre-installed rubbish from the manufacturer or other apps/services that you may have installed on it.
What sort of compatibility problems are you experiencing?
General advice for Windows machines is to disable OneDrive and disable any anti-virus software other than Microsoft Defender. For devices with Intel integrated graphics, get the video driver directly from the Intel website.
I was quite surprised by the speed. Once everything is logged on and the world selected it appears to run normally. It’s just lethargic getting it going.
The machine shouldn’t be cluttered as I save files on an external hard drive however I’ll follow your advice. I’ll definitely go through the programs and see if something is clogging the system. This isn’t my forte though. Thank you for the advice.
You don’t need to worry about files you’ve saved on it unless the storage is very full, but you should think about applications you’ve installed that may start background processes that consume resources.

Your CPU is not very fast for running games so it’s never going to be great, but if it’s getting really hot that could also result in CPU throttling.
