Sudden unintended U-Turns with Zwift Play Controller

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing a strange issue with my Zwift Play controller and wanted to check if others have run into this—or if Zwift Support might be able to help.

I bought a ZWIFT Ride setup in November 2024 here, including the Play controllers. Since last Thursday, my avatar has been making sudden U-turns during rides, even though I’m not touching the left handlebar or pressing the lower paddle. It sometimes happens when I shift gears on the right side.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Resetting the controller by holding the Z key for 30+ seconds

  • Confirming the firmware is up to date

Unfortunately, the issue persists. I’m particularly concerned because this seems to be a recurring issue based on other forum posts I’ve seen.

Would appreciate any insights or suggestions from the community!

Contact support. Probably they send you new controls.
