I’ve recently had an upgrade to Kickr, which came with both the Zwift Cog and the Zwift Play.
I’m a big fan of the Cog with virtual shifting and the interface is great with the simple two-button fit-anywhere Click controller.
But the Play controllers not so much. I use a TT bike, so no drop-bars. I first tried mounting the play controllers horizontally, but then sweat creeps inside and the controller malfunctions (dries out ok!). I tried 3d printing some vertical supports; I’m not entirely convinced of the ergonomics, nor of their stability to my hands. But in my experiments I concluded that all I’m after is the steering. So not the braking (never use it) or extra buttons (the Companion app looks after that).
Hence my feature request would be to allow users to buy another Click connection and let that take control of steering if we wish. It has two buttons for left and right already. Can be fitted anywhere on any shaped frame.
I contacted the support who replied saying a) they’d pass on to the dev team, b) suggested posting on this forum.
