Stage 3 tour of watopia

Have done the stage 1 and 2 tour of Watopia without any issues. Today tried 3 times to do the stage 3. I join the event, get sent to the start, can see everyone else and have the list of zwifters on my screen and the kit on  but when I start the ride everyone but 2 or 3 others disappear and my blue progress bar shows that I only need to ride 10.2km and takes me on a flat lap course- the list on the right of my screen still states my placing in the stage 3 Watopia and when I cross under the banner at 10.2km it tells me I have finished the stage. I joined again 2 hours later and the same thing happened. On the third attempt I noticed that the mass of people all veered right at the start and I veered left- but had no control to do otherwise. There appeared to be a couple of others in the stage kit that were also routed the same as me so it does seem to be happening to a few others too. Any ideas what is going on? I am using a MacBook, the version is uptodate and my network is solid with wired internet. I have logged a support ticket but I am keen for a solution before the stage 3 disappears. Any advise appreciated

I had the same problem, when I started 5 riders were sent on another way, and it was only like 6 miles. I’m in level 6, could it be a problem with the level?

I had the same issue. I’m on iPhone and level 12 so I don’t think it’s related to the MacBook or level 6. I joined the next session two hours later and it did the same thing again, just as you experienced.

Would love to hear if you get a response to your support ticket on cause / resolution.

Same thing for me, level 9, went left and only had 6.3 mile for the ride, so I stopped. Dozen riders went wrong way with me, most went other direction. Submitted issue. How do you chat with support? Frustrating!!

Same with me twice, and my wife 3 times today.

Just tried 8:00, sent me in wrong direction again and only 6.3 miles. This is my second multiple day event (Sugoi also had a glitch and didn’t have a counter at all). All all these events a waste of time? Like the software for workouts but should gives us $ back for poor event performance. Very Frustrating!!

I tried to join the 7 am Watopia Tour this morning and failed.  I tried again the 9pm I found the Tour of Watopia - Stage 3 on the list of upcoming events, joined it, the time was 1:08 hrs before the start.  The orange tag on the left side of the announcement appeared.  Finally, there was a count down, but NOTHING Happened.  Disappointing indeed…  I had no problem signing for the Stages 1 & 2.

Can anyone let me know what else am I supposed to do?

Log a support ticket. Which can be equally difficult to find.

At least it just wasn’t me. I have tried twice to join Stage 3. Stages 1 and 2 were not problem. The orange tag stating going was displayed and i got the message saying the event was about to start. When I selected 'Lets Go" to join the event nothing happened. I never went to the staging area like on the other events. It just kept me cycling alone on the loop. The first time i saw 800 riders coming opposite opposite me so i know if missed it.

Please help with a solution Zwift!!!

FYI I was able to join event, after let’s go on the left side a join event popped up which took me to pier. I use Apple TV to access Zwift. Hoping to try and ride today at 6:15CT.

same thing happened to me and a friend of mine at different times on different setups. very frustrating. I logged a support ticket and am now waiting for a non-automated response. I’ll have to do stage 3 on a make-up day …no time left and stage four starts tonight here in Canada  :O(

Same problem, tried it twice and opened a support ticket. I think it could be related to the level. I have in my mind you need level 12 to ride “Fire & Ice”. Hope to get a response from Support Team soon. Cheers ride on

Zwift is saying it could be that I haven’t updated since ADZ came out. I’m using Apple TV 4K. Anyone else?

This happened to me at last night’s 7:15 EST Stage 3 (me and a few others rode the Flat Route, I believe). It was very frustrating but I am pretty sure it is because I did not apply the latest update to Zwift. Stage 3 includes Alpe du Zwift which is specifically mentioned in the notes on my iPad update. My fingers are crossed hoping that the update will solve the issue for another attempt today.

@ Keith Hines - Interesting. I do have an update pending for my iPhone for Alpe du Zwift (I use iPhone with screen sharing to Apple TV 3rd Gen).

Stage 3 runs again tonight in my TZ. Will try it tonight if I can.
