Shortcut to trainer calibration on Apple TV

I use a Kickr Snap with an Apple TV and after 10 minutes riding I switch to the built in Zwift trainer calibration screen and do a spindown calibration. But it is a real pain to navigate the screens to get there especially using the awful Apple TV remote. Could there be an option for an on screen pop up after 10 minutes with a single click to take you to the calibration? Also after the spindown a single click to take you back to the course? At the moment it seems that even when navigating between screens to get to calibration the highlighted option is always the ‘wrong’ one so it entails lots of frustrating swiping on the remote.

Navigate to the wrench icon next to the trainer selection button and you can go through a spindown.

Thanks. I don’t see that wrench option on the screen which is why I am confused.

I’m not at home right now … but I’ll double check tonight. I could have sworn there was a calibrate icon.

Alternatively, you can calibrate using the Wahoo utility.

What exactly is this Calibration? I use a Tacx Neo and it doesn’t have anything like that.

Calibration is a procedure you use to configure some smart trainers so they reports the correct power to training apps.

According to the Tacx website, the Neo is ‘The only trainer that doesn’t need to be calibrated’.

Here;'s a picture of my Apple TV display … you can see the wrench icon next to the power source. If you select the wrench, it will take you to the calibrate function.

Cheers that’s helpful. It’s definitely not on my screen but I have read it could be as I’m on a tacx.

Tacx Neo? According to their web site, it doesn’t require calibration.

I would suggest contacting Zwift or Tacx.support directly.

There’s a bug with the Apple Tv remote inside Zwift, you can upvote it here @John_Molloy

I don’t have a wrench on my screen? Do you know why? My setup is Tacx Vortex Smart and Apple TV 4K.

same for me, i am struggling to set up my trainer as i can’t do any grouprides, i just can’t hold the pace

Hey Jordan, this topic has been quiet for 5 years so it would make more sense to start a new one in which you provide all the details about your trainer, what you’re running Zwift on, and how you’re pairing the trainer. Include a screen shot of your pairing screen once you’ve connected everything.
