It seems to be different every time I go past, even in the same direction.
Great to see the ZP Segments page finally fixed & update but could you please ask whoever deals with the Segments info on ZwiftPower to also add the “Glasgow Crit LAP” as a segment, similar to how we have the Crit City Dolphin Lap & Bell Lap segments ![]()
Lap segments for all routes would be lovely ![]()
Really enjoyed City and the Sgurr today. This course is going to be niiiiice for hill repeats. Loved the fireflies and constellations at night, and the cows are excellent.
Has anyone else noticed the abrupt shifts in color temperature in Scotland? The light suddenly shifts from cool blue to warm yellow (or vice versa). You can see it in @James_Zwift 's video at about 3:15.
I noticed it today.
@GPLama mentioned it in a video, and said it was a known issue.
It switches color temperature on the way back down on exactly the same spot
I believe Makuri Islands has a similar colour shift/filter when you go through the gravel road with the autumn trees (it starts near the onsen village and ends near the fishing village) but the transition is a lot slower so you barely notice it.
I think Zwift stuffed up the transition speed in Scotland.
Yeah we know and we’re working on it.
So, err, why do we go counterclockwise through the “standing stones” roundabout? Momentary suspension of UK traffic laws, or…?
It’s the Zwift reality.
Like multiple sealevels in the same world,
Huge steps in the road between parts of a world, like between rural Makuri and Neokyo,
Roads sitting inches above the ground etc.
Less unnerving than IRL bike races when the peloton splits and goes round both sides of roundabouts. ![]()
UPDATE:
Scotland will be available in events created by our community event organizers starting March 5. Look on the public Events Calendar for more chances to ride or run in a race / group event.
Scotland will made available for free rides, Clubs and Meetups mid-March!
It’s one of the Fondo events. They are 50km minimum.
The description reflects the lap distance.
Scotland is not available yet. Although i can see some organisers using it so not sure if they are going through the events team but i can’t select any Scotland routes through the club web portal.
Do you know when this is going to be available for all?
Mid march according to the post three above yours.
that’s for free rides. Shuji said 5th March for event organisers but that does not seem to be the case so wondering if there is a revised date or more likely something is broken in the portal as i can see quite a few organisers using it now somehow.
Same applies to you Gordon
Gordon,
You can put a request in via the Event Change Request Form … and the team will be able to make the change for you.
I think the ability to self select will come next week(?) as part of the next update… that would be my best guess, unless a switch can be flicked before then!
