Samsung has launched a new android tablet called Tab S9, 9+ and 9 Ultra. All three device types can connect to Zwift via native Bluetooth Version 5.3 with BLE sensors.
ANT+ devices will require an external USB dongle with Type C connector to work with the tablet. Also required are the ANT+ Plugin, drivers and USB Service to work.
Pretty much the same as the recent releases then.
Samsung has dropped ANT+ support entirely since 2020. Pity…
My Samsung galaxy tab s9 ultra does not work with my Tacx Neo 2, with or without Ant+ dongle. Connection is sometimes found, but then lost immediately. With my S6 lite it worka a bit better but with interruptions every few minutes, so also not really usable. Graphics of the Android app is much worse then on a Windows PC. As using a tablet is much more convenient, I am currently evaluating alternatives.
