Samsung S7+ Ant+ Dongle

Hi all,
Apologies if this has been covered a million times before, but could see anything after a quick search

Has anyone had much experience using an ANT+ dongle with the Samsung S7+? I can find the Kickr and HR sensor within the pairing screen, but they drop out almost immediately… Am I doing something wrong? Everything connects fine using BT, but would like to have Trainerroad running alongside Zwift.

Thanks
Jamie

Same Problem with Samsung S6 lite

Hi, is this still an open issue? Lots of Samsung devices have built-in ant+ so you shouldn’t need a dongle. Have you checked this for your S7?

Samsung Tab S7 doesn’t have ANT+.

From Google Play store, installed ANT USB service app, ANT+ plugins service app, and ANT Radio Service app, got a USB C to female USB adapter for my ANT+ dongle, plugged in the dongle, and voila! It all connects and works with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE. No problem.

Thanks - works perfectcly

Glad to hear it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi David, I know this is an old thread.
Could you share which specific USB dongle you used for the Tab S7 FE?

I’ve tried this with a Tacx and Garmin dongle and it did not work for me.

Thanks
jim

I’ve attached a photo. The dongle says ANSELF and it requires a USBc to normal USB converter, also shown in the photo. Pretty sure I got these on Amazon.

Also, if you’re using the Zwift companion app, both the smartphone and tablet need to be connected to the same wi-fi channel, if you have more than one channel.

Subnet, not channel.
