So I was doing a solo ride today, and I was 40 meters ahead of my fastest ever ride, and I was caught by the Miguel group, and Zwift decided to put me in that group, so after 58 minutes of pain, and within sight of a PB, Zwift cancelled it. Iam fuming.
What do you mean put you in that group.
Miguel is a pace partner so while if they ride past you might get sucked along in the groups draft i’m not sure how else would that affect your ride?
or did you teleport to the Miguel group?

Sorry to hear about your loss of route PB.
Checking your activity are you talking about losing the Holoreplay details when the RoboPacer group catches you?
Once you leave the RoboPacer group does the Holoreplay not return? ( there have possibly been similar issues with losing route information )
I may well have missed a Zwift announcement but looking at your activity it appears that some longer routes (big flat 8 included) now have a route Holoreplay option when I didn’t think they had them before?
Anyone else - has Big Flat 8 always had or recently had a Holoreplay route option?
I didn’t want to join the group, I wanted to finish my solo ride, as I had been solo for 58 minutes, and was ahead of my previous PB, and I only had about 2 minutes to go to get another PB, but Zwift joined me into the Miguel group, and I lost my ride status. I am so disappointed. When you get to my age, it is very difficult to get Pb’s.

I’m still unclear on what you mean by you joined the Miguel group did you teleport to the group or did they just catch you on the road and you ended up finishing your ride in a large group being dragged along with extra draft?
and when you say lost ride status can you explain further?
looking at your ride in companion i can’t see any jump in route as if you left your own route?
or is it as Ian suggests above everything was fine but you lost the holoreplay rider from on screen?
I did numerous laps of the volcano yesterday with the Maria group. My holoreplay showed up on every lap and didnt disappear in the pacer group. Everything should be working fine. I think the OP is just confused.
I hope the OP issue gets sorted but this illustrates an important fact concerning personal best rides.
Unless you are on a TT bike, there is always going to be a contribution from packs of riders passing.

I’ve randomly joined up with pace partner groups recently and although the route progress element in the HUD is replaced with the pacer group HUD element while I’m in the group (annoying!) nothing happens to my route navigation or ability to get segment times.

I did Quatch Quest for the first time earlier this week and, right at the end, merged into a robopacer group. I agree that the HUD should not change automatically in these situations but was pleased to find that the HUD reverted after I coasted for a bit and that the route was credited properly.
Is it possible that the OP is referencing chasing his PB Holo Replay? If you have that running and a RP group rides through you, what happens? Maybe there isn’t any issue with your ghosts riding in RP packs at all.
One way to avoid this is create your own event with the route. That should avoid interruptions from others like robot groups.
Note I suggest that only for the very big routes.
