I have been using Zwift for several years with the same set up, and have been experiencing problems in the last few months, to the point that I cannot use it anymore. My set up is iphone app + bluetooth connection to Magene Gravat 2. While everything seems to work perfectly, and I connect first to the power meter of the trainer, then to the resistance of the trainer, then cadence (on my pedals magene power meters), when I start riding, the rider does not move, power stays at 0. Sometimes, power shows, but then I have no resistance. How can I rule out software / connections issues, and if need be change trainer? I have already erased and reloaded app, recalibrated app (that worked fine), etc.
do the pedals have an app or way to update firmware that can check to see if they are still working correctly?

Indeed they have, and they are working fine (also when I ride the bike outside).
