@Rob_Gilroy I did nothing. It’s Voodoo. @shooj had tech follow mee behind the scenes on some rides to determine whether I had sweat problems (NOT!) or other.
After three weeks the controls started working. NOT 100% but more than nothing.
I really don’t know how others deliver RO’s. I have to go on the Companion app, locate the zwifter from the constantly moving leaderboard, and tap that and then give them one in their profile. There must be a better way. This is supposed to be it.
(I use a Macbook with a trackpad to get into the game. Impossible to use a trackpad to stab a leaderboard zwifter and do it via computer.)
I wish you could use apple TV remote and give ‘Ride On’. I don’t have companion app running and don’t really want to. Enough going on with Apple TV and Netflix on another device.
Mine definitely isn’t sweat either, because it hasn’t worked since day one. For now I am just trying to give ride on bombs, hoping I’m quick enough that they reach the right rider!
I just wanted to chime in as another Zwift Ride user. Pressing Z gives no feedback for me in reciprocating a ride on. It only provides a way to do a ride on Bomb. If it is returning them, there is no way to confirm/see it. I thought perhaps there was another button usable on the Ride controller to return a ride on, and my internet searching led me here–where it appears to be a broken/missing feature.
It didn’t work, then after some dialog and weeks, it DID work, and now it’s back to NOT working.
Missed opportunities.
Not only make it work, make it KNOWN that you responded. Small gifts.
EDIT: OK, so this morning it DID work. Mostly. I got haptic feedback, and when I checked the recipient the RO was greyed out. Not every one though. Glitchy!
I just got the Zwift Ride and have the same issue. I found this thread when searching about how to return a ride on using the handlebar controls. For me, this does not work.
Welcome to the forums! I’m Haziel from Zwift, and I totally understand how important it is for you to be able to return a Ride On.
Usually, you can simply press the Z button on your Zwift Ride controllers to do this. However, if you’re having issues, I want to help you figure it out. It could be related to your controllers, so I suggest trying to press and hold the Z button for 30 seconds to perform a hard reset. This might just do the trick!
I hope this helps resolve the issue, but if it continues, please don’t hesitate to contact us to provide further assistance.
