I think that this a bug related to virtual shifting. When entering event from free ride, I have lost resistance on my Wahoo Kickr V6. This has happened twice in the past week and only has happened when the zwift plays are connected. The only way to return resistance is to unplug the trainer and reconnect the pairing. Very frustrating and seems unnecessary to have unplug the trainer when switching to an event.

It’s strange pedaling in a vacuum with no resistance, especially when it only happens when connecting the Zwift Play. I’ll keep an eye on this.
There is an unidentified issue regarding “the resistance failure on Wahoo KICKR CORE V6 when using virtual shifting.” This problem has been observed on the Windows platform in-game versions 1.76.0, 1.77.0, 1.80.0, and 1.81.0. I see that you are currently using game version 1.81.2 and using Windows.
A new version for Windows, 1.82.0, was released today. Could you please update this new version and let us know how it performs?
Following the game update, please disconnect the Wahoo KICKR CORE from the power source for 10 minutes before reconnecting it. Prior to using it with Zwift, ensure that you perform a spindown calibration according to the manufacturer’s instructions. I can confirm that the firmware has been updated, as well as the Zwift Play.

Hi Francisco- thanks for the advice. I will make sure that I update the game and do a factory spin down on my device. I forgot to mention it at the time as I didn’t think relevant, but I had just done a calibration of my Wahoo powrlink pedals using the Wahoo app. Although I never choose my trainer as a device, it is possible that the app connected and somehow took control of the trainer away from Zwift. It is weird as I was using the WiFi direct connect and I also force closed the app on my phone after the calibration. Interesting on other forum posts, people were using the wahoo app to restart the resistance control and this is opposite. However, it might be worth letting the Wahoo folks know about this. Thanks!
