I was wondering what the rankings are based on in the unlocked- standard on zwiftpower for the months series. How is there a difference between the companion app and zwiftpower?
Not everyone is on zwiftpower.
Zwiftpower used to be a community project with a separate login to zwift, so people had to sign up to that and link their zwift account. It’s now the same login, but still requires users to opt in.
I’m seeing results on both be not the same? I need to link the two your saying?
ok, I had to think about that, I see what your saying,
Which ranking are you talking about? The ranking in a specific race or the overall series GC?
There will be people who don’t appear on zwiftpower because they aren’t registered there. They will be missing from both.
I was talking about overall, I can understand why they wouldn’t match because not everyone is on Zwiftpower, can you filter on zwiftpower?
You can, but it doesn’t work very well with ZRS and variable ranges.
It filters based on the letter assigned to the pen you raced each stage in. So your ZRS might put you in A in one range, B in the other. If you’ve done one race in each you’ll show in the A and B lists but only 1 race in each with the associated time.
You also have to meet certain criteria to show on ZwiftPower so the results there are more reliable.
You need a decent bike with proper raw power output along with a heartrate monitor, no TT bikes and even if you are registered with ZwiftPower, fail to meet any and your result gets hidden.
Too many people riding crap hardware as it is and thats before you even get into the weight doping argument.
Notably more people are signed up to Zwift Power in a race than say a group ride. My position of 8th in Zwift was 7th in ZwiftPower so not much change at the top on a stage 2 race.
Thanks, I did notice a change when they went to the racing score. I use to like looking at how I stacked up in my age group.
