The first 5 minutes of the test is a ‘free ride’ (warm up). ERG does not start working until the 1st 1minute effort.
Has anyone found a fix for this? I just experienced the same thing; cancelled 2 tests and rebooted. It was working fine for a structured ride just before the test. Seems like this should be a known issue with a work around. Or is it just random and need to try again tomorrow.

Me too. I can’t pedal fast enough with no resistance. Thought I was gonna launch like Mayhem into my TV. When ERG kicked in at the second Orange bar I was like Thank goodness. I abandon it first try after 10 minutes cause I couldn’t hit the targets or even get close. That needs to be fixed. There’s obviously a glitch in it somewhere that creates no resistance but still gives you a target watts to hit to be successful.
Having this issue too on an Elite Direto XR. Everything is paired as it should be and ERG works in structured trainings, but not in ramp test. Did anyone here solve the issue, or is this still a thing?
