Dear Zwift Community
I need your help and am about to give up.
I am relatively new to Zwift and have ridden about 250 km so far. Wahoo kickr core
I notice that there is something wrong with the resistance. Concrete example:
I’m riding up a hill with a regular 10% gradient.
I notice that it gets harder as soon as the incline starts. Then when I shift into an easier gear, it is suddenly extremely easy to pedal, as if I were in neutral.
This goes back and forth.
No one can help me yet. I have already tried the following:
Tried Zwift on another device
Uninstalled and reinstalled everything
Checked weight and height on my profile
Now I have found the following setting in my Wahoo settings and have the feeling that this could be the solution. Unfortunately, I don’t understand what they mean.
How did you set this. Sorry I can’t change the language in the wahoo app.
Thank you very much for your help!
Cheers from Switzerland
Roger
ERG adjusts for a certain resistance so you can maintain cadence. I was under the impression the ERG settings in the Wahoo App are only in use while using Wahoo Training.
Have you updated your KickR Core and completed a calibration lately?
ERG mode power smoothing on Wahoo trainers does affect Zwift workouts because it makes the trainer lie about your power to produce a pretty graph, but what Roger is describing sounds like he’s riding in simulation mode (because the resistance changes with the gradient) so the ERG mode power smoothing feature will not affect that because ERG mode is not enabled in that situation.
Hello Jason
Yes I just calibrated it yesterday and checked for firmware updates.
Hello Paul
What does that mean? What would you recommend?
Best regards
And here are my Zwift Settings. Please tell me if i should change this to
Something is wrong, because if the trainer is paired for Resistance on the pairing screen, the hardware settings should include Trainer Difficulty.
