Power seems too low at high virtual gears and high cadence

Hi everyone,

I recently installed my Elite Justo 2 with Zwift Cog and Click V2. Everything seems to work fine overall, but I’m noticing some strange behavior when I try to push higher cadences on high virtual gears.

For example, while riding Zwift Camp: Baseline - Power Punches (Workout 2), during the Free Ride mode and using gear 24 at 140-160 rpm, my power output maxed out around 520 W. I was expecting much higher numbers, considering this gear ratio and cadence. It feels like resistance is not scaling correctly with virtual gearing.

My setup:
Elite Justo 2 (firmware up to date)
Zwift Cog + Click V2
Power source / controllable / cadence: all set to the Justo 2
Zwift basic steel frame
I’m 110kg and 181cm.

I’ve already done a calibration via the My E-Training app, and the firmware is updated.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this expected behavior with the current virtual shifting implementation, or could this indicate a configuration issue?

Thanks in advance!
José

That doesn’t sound quite right. I don’t see this issue with my kickr v6 and virtual shifting, but my cadence doesn’t get as high as yours. I peaked over 1000 Watt in gear 18 in Zwift Camp: Baseline - Red Zone Repeats (Workout 1), but I only did around 110-115rpm. In Power Punched I got to over 600 Watt at ~125rpm (I think that was in gear 16).

Hi Glenn,

Thank you for your input. That sounds a lot more reasonable and in line with what I was expecting to see with my setup.
