Power reading spikes

I’m using a Quark Elsa power meter, connected via ANT to my Win10 box. Running ZWIFT latest. Been having issues with reported power spikes through the last several versions. Today on the Pack Sub2 ride in Innsbruck, I “unlocked” the 1.21 gigawatt badge. I looked at the fit file afterwards, and it reports that my max power was 2KW. Obviously wrong.

Also, several other rides, starting late from the pen, from 0 RPM, ZWIFT read power spikes where there should be none. I have never been over 800W on Zwift, and I have badges for all the extra credit achievements. The only one that’s legit is the one for ride ons

The source of your power spikes is most likely your power meter

Thank you for reaching out to us. If you haven’t already, I’d recommend doing a Zero Offset calibration with your power meter following the steps in Quarq’s guide.

I’d also recommend making sure there isn’t any signal interference. We have some steps you can take in our BLE and ANT+ Interference Troubleshooting Tips guide.
