Woo hoo! Badge hunting will be so much easier now, especially when I just hop on with no prep and pick a route.
Great improvement. Not too innovative, but good steps to the right direction. Well done Zwift.
Unfortunately, the update stoped steering on my Kickr Bike / Apple TV combo (again). And the map in the top right corner is still not 3D view. The lack of steering and 3D view are much more important points to me than ticking the routes I have already completed.
Anyway, I hope Zwift will fix these soon and then I will be even more happy.
Sounds like a nice improvement, I might be able to get the badges I deserve; missed a couple of badges because of system crashes, dates not correct, says it ends in this date and actually the date before, whatever, but good steps to the right direction. Well done Zwift.
Big improvement. Thanks for the update.
Badge suggestion: perhaps you could consider making some of the power-related badges age-adjusted. I mean, for example, I doubt there are a lot of 60+ year olds that can hit 1,000 watts. Maybe consider lowering the benchmark for a given power badge as Zwifters get older?
Awesome feature…long overdue!!!
They literally released an update and told us what was in it … at no point did anyone ask for gratitude.
Honestly, life is too short to be so snarky and sarcastic just for the sake of it.
Love this update. About time as it has always been a point of frustration not being able to see easily the completed routes and what is the lead in distances.
Great improvemnt.
Would be good if we could have the option to cancel, OK and Continue, because if you hit by accident stop then you can’t get back to the training.
Can you @Victor_Carranza elaborate on the comment?
Hi Gerrie,

If you want to pause the training for some reason, you click on Menu then if you want to get back you click cancel.
It Would be great if we have an option to pause, continue. Last time I clicked ok as showing on the pic above, then i hadn’t option to get back.
Regards,
Badges always start and end at an arch. The lead-in doesn’t factor into the badge, just tells you how far you have to go until you pass that arch that will officially “begin” the route.
To pause a workout you can use the pause button on the companion app or the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
Or are you trying to pause a ride?
I was trying to pause the ride, but I didn’t know I could pause by the app companion, that would help.
Cheers.
Ok relax I was being light hearted, I guess it didn’t come across that way. The 1000’s of hours I have on Zwift might have me a little frustrated at long term broken stuff but I love the platform ![]()
Not sure lots of users want that. It’d be nice but there is decent variation in the game to keep the vast majority satisfied!
yeah I get that, but if you start a route, the distance you need to travel in order to get the badge includes the lead in, i.e. you have to ride the lead in before the route starts. so from beginning to ride to getting the badge is the total distance and the actual route will be slightly less than this distance.
The actual route distance is not displayed, so total distance minus the lead in gives the route distance.
for example, if you want to do 3 laps of a route you would ride 1 lead in then 3 laps (total minus lead in).
correct?
As it goes, custom route creation comes up fairly often.
For example:
That request has a number of other similar requests linked to it - and if you order the feature requests by vote, it’s actually one of the most popular ones. =) (Feature Requests - Zwift Forums)
In fact, with 250 votes it’s ostensibly more popular than Route selection menu should show badges [SOLVED] which only has 54 votes (i.e. one of the things this update includes).
For the amount of programming required… 250 votes over 3.5 years!!!
Great to see Zwift now actioning requests and user suggestions. Interestingly shows routes I thought I had done - but haven’t.
Its a little sad its taken so long from the initial suggestion all those years ago to implementation.
I hope these are now a regular occurrence with the monthly bug fixes and updates.
It’s not probably that much programming, particularly if built as part of my.zwift.com. The waymarking and route following is already in-game. This is just a case of selecting which way to go at each node on a map; many of which will be the take the default option. There’s no actual route-finding or anything like that.
The point is more people probably want it that you were suggesting. The number over 3.5 years is more reflective of the tiny number of Zwifters that use this forum for anything more than a drive-by than a feature’s popularity amongst the entire user base. e.g. only 1400 people have reached the “Member” trust level.
