Now running as direct drive

Easily used shortened chain for a direct drive to one hub. Much quieter and should save a few watts! Using old bike with adjustable dropout but unless chain slack really bad? should work? with vertical dropout also.

With vertical dropouts it depends on the combination of front and rear gearing and chainstay length. Sometimes OK, sometimes not OK, but using a chain tensioner will make it perfect.

With the one hub chain is certainly not going to throw off on rear and I expect as you aren,t bouncing around much you can have a pretty loose chain and not throw it off front.
