Had problems with Zwift appearing to be still connected but no watts registering, happened this morning & took me a good while to get going again. Had to shut everything down & re pair everything 2 of 3 times before it worked… then showed all the core components "connecting’ for so long I was on the point of giving up, previous times its happened it would work in workout mode but not freeride & it happened couple of days ago & sorted itself out after 30secs or so got a zwift ride & core 2, any ideas because it’s a pain
What are you running the game on and how are you pairing? Bluetooth, WiFi, bridging via Companion, or using Kickr Bridge? Is the trainer on latest firmware (via the Wahoo app) and are the Ride controls on latest firmware (via the Companion app)?
Bluetooth, never had a problem before, I updated the core recently haven’t checked the ride, doesn’t seem to be a problem with that though

There have been recent reports of needing firmware updates on various Zwift controls since the last few updates - people with out of date firmware have more pairing problems. There is a complicated dance in the app when you are pairing a trainer and also the Ride controls.
When running Zwift on mobile devices, it’s recommended to force-quit the app after every time you use it so you could try that as well. Force Closing Zwift
Another thing you could do is test the trainer using only the Wahoo app. There would be no virtual shifting, you would not pair the Ride controls, you just do a ride in the Wahoo app and see if all is well with the trainer.
Hi Paul, updated both core & ride, thought it was cured until this morning, force closed zwift, closed all open apps re paired everything, wondering if my earbuds are causing a problem, might try them on the phone instead….trial & error ![]()
It’s definitely safest to pair headphones to the device running Companion, run only Zwift on the device running the game, never swipe the game into the background or switch apps on that device for any reason
Yeah, I’ll try that tomorrow, never been a problem before but something else may have updated & caused conflict, only time will tell ,![]()
