No Supertuck descending the grade

Hi,
there is a possible bug / issues when descending the new route, The Grade.
It happened to me a while ago in one of the Chasing yellow stages (Chasing Tour competition) at the start of the The Grade descent and happened again yesterday to a team mate also descending The Grade, at the intersection point (half of The Grade descent).

We both are using Elite Suito.

It goes like this, the descent started and after completely stop pedaling the are some “residual watts” (like 20/30w) shown on the screen that prevent the Supertuck for a while, long enough to make you lose some time to your opponents
It also tends to happened along the descent if you go out of Supertuck by pedaling again. After you stop pedaling the Supertuck doesn´t “start” due to te residual watts.

Can you check it please.

My team mate has a video on Youtube were you an see the problem at minute 0:47:09

Thanks.

The residual watts are a trainer issue and Zwift won’t put you into supertuck while the trainer is still reporting some watts like that.

Is your Suito firmware up to date? Because Elite released a firmware update last year with some improvements for Suito and Direto-XR which includer a faster dropping to zero for watts and hence an easier supertuck. That update helped my Direto XR - I’m pretty sure that improvement also applied to the Suito.

Use the Elite Upgrado app to check for fiemware updates.

Thanks for your answer.
The trainer is updated.
I have considered it (being a problem with the trainer), but until today it only happened on this particular route, so I’m more inclined to aa game bug.

You can see RPM reporting strange numbers…this is also Trainer issue.
It could be that your Belt is slipping. Try to do a calibration and test if it will report 0W.

Always use official trainer software and avoid Zwift Calibration.

I have noticed the same since Zwift v1.69. The watts and cadence are more sticky and it takes much longer to get into supertuck.

I am using Kickr Core with latest software.

Thanks for the reply Martin.

If you back pedal for a few strokes this can remove those residual watts.

That was the old way to force yourself into a supertuck.

We’re you able to resolve the issue? I have the same problem even after trying some things to sort it.

I was not. Sometimes it works but 9 out of 10 tries it does not. I guess I cannot use supertuck to attack in a race anymore .
