No route badge after teleporting to a RoboPacer

Hi, I’m relatively new to the game and did my first robo pacer rides today.

Actually I would have thought that I would be rewarded with a badge for a completed route after I had ridden approximately 44,43 kilometers on the Sugar Cookie route.

Any ideas what might have gone wrong?

Depending on where you joined the robo-pacer you can easily exceed the route distance and not complete the route. To get the completion you must pass through the start location, and then the finish location. If you join the robo-pacer just after the start location, you would actually need to make almost two complete circuits.

Thanks for your reply and your clarification.

If I’m right, the start and finish of that route is in the western part of the circuit close to where the lake is. That would mean, I should have been lucky and have passed this point twice.

Would it make a difference if I lose the group due to a UPS driver knocking at my door before outrunning them two minutes later to rejoin the pack? Would that be influential?

It feels a bit disappointing to lose these 660 XP points.

You will get the route completion bonus as long as you complete the route in a single activity without making any manual turns, and without teleporting back to the pacer. For long routes it’s often easier to complete it in a free ride so you can start at the beginning. When you click on the home screen tile for the pacer you can also see where they are on the map, which can tell you if they are near the start of the route. For example if they are just past the start of the route you would have to do almost the entire route twice to get the badge. Ideally you catch them just before the start.

I tried the same route again today.

I decided to simply cycle, until the badge finally would show.

That was right after I drove through the start for the third time. I finished the Sugar Cookie after 77,9 kilometers.

I don’t know why. It definitely had nothing to do with the robopacer being already behind the start. Just what I experienced.

Still a good workout, but I could have won this badge a lot easier.

Sugar Cookie has 5,6 km lead-in and 33,6 km route. Seems you started with robopacer INSIDE the lead-in, 1st start banner, 2nd banner no badge (I believe you must ride the route including lead-in), that’s why the badge with 3rd banner.

I think, you must be right about that.

I believe I did complete Sugar Cookie route (with complete lead-in) by joining RoboPacer. However I did not receive completion badge.

From Zwift desktop app I joined RoboPacer on Sugar Cookie route before lead-in of the route and I did pass start/end banner twice (I was looking at the counter just after the banner to change from 0 to 1),

Strava reckons you completed it, should you require additional evidence :+1:

Hi @Goran_Zauhar

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I merged your post into the thread under way.

As Paul noted above, this is a known issue that happens when you start on one route, then teleport to a different route to join a friend (RoboPacers are your friends too). Please contact Zwift support and we can manually credit the badge
