No resistance on zwift ride (kickr core)

I bought a new zwift ride through zwift uk shop with kickr core.

Set it all up update firmware both on the core and the ride.

Jumped into zwift and doing the welcome programme, when pedalling i move incredibly slow and hitting the incline there is no resistance change at all. There is no resistance change when changing the gears.

I jumped out and tried in free ride and the same issue.

I powered down everything (unplugged the core) and tried again and still the same issue.

I powered down everything again, this timenopening the kickr core app and did a work out through it. The same issue persists and there was no resistance change between 0% resistance and 100% resistance.

Is there anything else i can try or is this more likely a faulty kickr core?

Possibly similar to this problem

Also make sure firmware is up to date on the trainer (use the Wahoo app) and on the Ride controls (use the Companion app, Zwift Hardware menu).
