New user , what app to use when riding?

Hi all, new to Zwifting so sorry if this is a dumb question!

I have two apps on my phone Zwift and Zwift companion and use a lead to display my ride on the TV.

I have been using the Zwift app for workouts but was wondering how I can join group rides and even type or give ride ons?

I can see the events in Zwift companion but it doesn’t actually display the riding screen.

Hi James,

To do a ride you must be running the Zwift app.

Zwift companion is used on your phone if you are running the main app on a different device (e.g. PC, apple tv, iPad).

You can sign up for event on the companion app prior to the event taking place. When you start zwifting on the main app it will then tell you that you can join the event (at the appropriate time).
