Recently purchased a Saris H3 so i could ride with Zwift in the off season. We stream around the house but don’t have anything fancy. We use an old PlayStation 3, Roku and Amazon fire stick.
What’s the best option to get something to run Zwift? I hear Apple TV is good but I’m guessing i can’t use the companion app on my Android phone with that. Would prefer not to spend a ton on a gaming computer although i know the Ant + connection would probably be ideal. What do y’all recommend?
AppleTV would be the least expensive option and you could definitely use the ZCA on an Android with it.

Zwift Companion (ZC) running on an Android phone works fine with Zwift Game app running on Apple TV. I’ve done that myself without any issues.
The important thing is that both devices need to be connected to the same Wifi network and frequency (i.e.: 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, make sure both devices are on the same frequency) Here’s a useful page on support.zwift.com that will walk you through ZC setup.
