That looks like a good start!
It’s not short if you just keep going round and round the route
And that’s the reason I said it’s too short.
What’s the problem with laps?
Gets a little old during long rides, that’s why I suggested 28 miles for a flat route.
18km forward and 18km reverse = 36km. LOL
I guess it really is relative, but I find those all to be “pretty flat”. When I read all these requests for a “flat route” and/or complaints that the above are too hilly, I cringe. While those routes are not flat, they are hardly hilly.
I wonder what complaints Zwift would get if they provided a 40km pancake flat loop. “It’s too flat.” “It needs some rollers.” Etc…
But bring on the “Tempus Fugit”, I am all for new roads
Great idea … with 48 votes seems that there is a bunch of us that really would like this.
Note … its not a compliant, it’s a request. If you are offended by a completely flat course, no one is going to make you ride on it.
Can I also add that a 1-2km flatish Crit circuit would also make me more inclined to race.
Flat earthers are everywhere!
if you feel a lack of flat routes inside zwift why not make a future route request/suggestion?
I believe that is what this Feature Request is for, the other one is a more general request for Courses/Islands/Worlds.
I believe 2000 years before Plato and his gang would have loved you.
I believe postulating flat routes is quite lazy when flat routes ingame are rare why not make a serious request that implies how the track should look like. inspiration is always good.
I believe in Zwift.
Hi.
I’m quite new to zwift and cycling in Generel.
I’m Looking for routes for training 25 - 50 kilometers that are flat not 300 - 600 m elevation but below 100.
Does this not exist in zwift ?
The Tempus Fugit Fuego Flat course is the flatest. Richmond flat is next but usually a barren city scape. Watopia Volcano flat has just two little rises. The other worlds are not flat. Try the links below for details.
16 meters per 17 km
See post on 17 Feb.
Hope you find this reply helpful. I would add that I was ecstatic about the rolling hills of Yorkshire since we have a fair amount of flat and nearly flat roads (Classique London)
Watopia’s waistband. Distance: 25.5km (15.8 miles) Elevation Gain: 83m (273′). It’s already an event route. Why can’t zwift just make it an available route. Yes we can navigate it manually but that’s not great in my opinion. Not a perfect option but one that should be dead easy to implement until expansions can be developed.
Best flat route is Tempus Fugit (Watopia). On distance 50km you have only 40m elevation gain. Just ride as long as you want. Don’t need nothing to navigate there.
Added this one recently as an addition I’d like to see in London. Predominantly flat.
Why there are multiple options to cycle for hours without repeat stages over and over, but if you want to just flat riding there ist no opportunity? I hope sometimes a “road to nowhere” will created. Just 200km flat road through a dessert or something else.
