Can I connect my iPad to an external monitor? If yes, can you guys recommend a few monitor ideas? I have about a $100-150 budget. Thank you!

This may not be the direction you want to go but, if you already have a TV near where you ride, you might consider picking up an AppleTV and just using that for Zwift.

Thanks. I do not. I work out in the basement exercise room. Do I need another laptop to use Apple TV?

AppleTV just connects to a TV. It’s sort of like a Roku.

I hook up my ipad to an old 32" tv I mounted on the wall…works fine. Just the cost of a wire with hdmi on one end and usbc on the other (for current ipads)
