Missing route badge & XP bonus

I was careful this morning to join the robopacer for Petit Boucle before the lead-in distance began. The lead-in begins between the pens and the town; I joined before the pens on the route down from the KOM. I rode the entire route and continued past the end for another 1.5-2 miles. But I did not see a finish banner so I thought something was off. Sure enough, no bonus XP and no badge. Not the result I was hoping for after more than 40 miles.
