Hi you have just deducted the monthly cost of my membership even though I paused it. The fact that you can take a break of 8 weeks from Zwift at most is nothing more than a scam and very deliberate so that the customer will possibly forget to pause the membership. Anyway, I myself have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and, because of this, have been banned from cycling indefinitely. Then you obviously mean I should red mark dates every 8 weeks to avoid being charged for something I don’t use??? And apparently even this is not enough as this time I was charged even though I paused my subscription. Maybe I missed it by an hour or so, so I still need to set an alarm clock if I come back now. Pay back the monthly fee you took and make sure to change these rotten conditions to use your otherwise fantastically nice forum. Greetings//The Tube

Cancelling your sub is a better option than pause as it won’t auto activate again but you’ll still keep all your progress for when you do subscribe again.

I’m not sure if zwift support staff will reply directly to you on the forums so i’d suggest raising a ticket with them to request a refund to see what is possible

why pause your membership if you can’t ride again? And I too had prostate cancer and it was never recommended that I stop biking except when going to take a PSA test - the effect of biking on prostate cancer is over rated and likely a non issue.

Thanks for your reply and adwises Gordon. I’ll probably will do as you suggested and cancel my membership. Unfortunately it’s impossible to reach anyone but a robot at Zwift support to claim something back.

Thanks also to you Chris for your post. About cycling kontra my diagnose I am still very convinced that you should refrain from cycling after undergoing a prostate resection. The healing of the operation area can take up to a year and lack of oxygen in the area can cause life-long complications.

If you keep telling the chat bot that its suggestions were not helpful, you should eventually be prompted to open a support case. You could also try emailing support@zwift.com

To avoid scenarios like this with other Zwifters, since the paused option was intended for taking a little break from the Zwift App, no longer than 8 weeks, for longer periods away from the App we recommend canceling the membership, remembering that no data will be deleted from the account if you canceled, only stops the billing, and allow to take as much time off from the app as you need.
