MacOS Sequoia 15.5 Zwift Kickr Bike wifi crash

After yesterday updating MBP MacOS to Sequoia 15.5, when I select wifi in the pairing screen for the Wahoo Kickr Bike, Zwift suddenly completely crashes. Reboot Mac, power cycle Kickr Bike, restart Zwift - same sudden complete crash. Wifi pairing has worked reliably all year until this MacOS update. Wifi is the same. Bluetooth pairing (and riding) works fine. Other devices and applications work fine on wifi as usual. Just trying to pair with wifi in Zwift crashes. Haven’t seen anyone else report this. Perhaps a problem in this latest MacOS update, which triggers something fatal in Zwift?

I don’t have a WiFi trainer so I can’t say for sure if this is the issue but there are many reports of issues with loss of Local Network access with macOS Sequoia. An easy fix is reinstalling the game and when it prompts for Local Network access, allow it. Does the Companion app connect to the game when you are able to run it (eg, with the trainer paired via Bluetooth)? If not, that would be a sign that Local Network access is disabled.

You could also send a log file to support and see if they can identify the reason. Regardless of the cause, the game should not crash so that seems like a bug to me.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. this is Haziel from Zwift. I wanted to share some steps that might help you.

To start, could you please check that Zwift has the necessary permissions on your Mac? You can do this by going to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Local Network and making sure that Zwift has access.

Additionally, I think it might be helpful to look at this article:Zwift Crashing on MacOS.

Please feel free to reach out to us at Support@zwift.com.if you have any more questions or if there’s anything else we can do to assist you.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, Zwift does and did have permission. After very many or the usual restarted, power-cycles, re-loads of all apps and devices involved - I only got instant/sudden and complete crash of Zwift. No other systems seem to be involved or affected.
And after a power off of all systems overnight, the next day all was working as usual!
A completely mystery to me. I suspect th eissue was something to do with the Sequoia update messing with Zwift. But I can’t imagine why Zwift alone show so suddenly crash just from trying to pair over wifi. I’m just crossing fingers that this never crops up again.

Incidentally using my MacBook Pro (M3) with the Kickr Bike v2, pairing is peculiar. Often the RESISTANCE interface shows neither wifi or Bluetooth available. But connecting CONTROLS or CADENCE to wifi makes the RESISTANCE options become available. It has been like this for over a year.
