Not sure if this is a Zwift issue, a Windows issue, or just my hardware issue…but I have a bit of a loose headphones connector on my laptop. If my headphone jack loses the connection to the computer and drops out, I lose the headphones sound altogether when I plug them back in. When I plug the headphones back in, I get nothing. I have to exit the game and restart. I can still hear system sounds through the headphones, just nothing in Zwift.

Not a big deal at the beginning but it would be a real bummer to be into a long ride like the Thanksgiving Metric, lose sound and have to start over.

This is worth a shot: You might check the mixer. click on the speaker in the task bar, below the volume bar you should see mixer. See if zwift shows up but is muted or some strange effect of the headphone ejection.

Also, for those that don’t know, this is how you can turn down zwift while leaving other volumes high. I do this so I can watch movies while riding.
