Limiting frame rate on AMD Radeon

Zwift runs at a very high frame rate, so I want to limit it to make my system consume less power but using Radeon Chill in Adrenalin doesn’t seem to work (neither does fsr upscaling nor vsync btw). Such a shame this doesn’t work, in some games in saves around 20W.

Anyway, anyone have an idea?

I’m not sure if this feature will be available for you but look for the Laptop Battery Saver setting in Zwift. That is a frame rate cap. The only other options would be in the GPU settings, not in Zwift.

I am using a mini-pc no battery saving options. The driver options do not seem to work but really it’s something zwift should fix. That’s a lot of wasted energy (or extra CO2) generating hundreds of useless frames per second

No argument from me but you’re probably on your own to explore power saving settings in BIOS, Windows, and GPU

Define “Really High Frame rate” Zwift pretty much runs at 4K-2160p 120fps it doesn’t really go any higher.

Zwift has a native frame rate and Nvidia is now using frame generation to increase the fps.

Yeah 120 fos, way too high, my TV is only 60Hz and mywhoosh appears nice and smooth at 30 fps and consumes markedly less power when capped (it actually only runs at around 38fps but those extra 8fps cost 20W)

30fps is okay, ran at that rate for a few years using Zwift and a 10 year old plus PC and GPU on an old Sony 1080p TV that had a maximum of 60hz, the problem was some newer routes came along like in New York and the fps took a big dive. You can use 30fps as long as its a solid 30fps and doesn’t take a dive at any point.
