Less worlds: Retire the UCI worlds

I prefer the UCI worlds, particularly Richmond. I might like Makuri if they add a mountain like Watopia had added first, then a big climb like the Alp on Watopia. However, the roads seem needlessly complex.
PS @me and me I love Bologna.

I agree , so far anyway Makuri Island for me anyway is flat and mostly dull . Hope and trust they will add in something more interesting at some point . We dont need more of the same but new parcours not already seen in some way .

That is why my vote goes for more “UCI” e.g. virtualised “real routes” over complete fantasy routes.

So bring on more “UCI” routes . Sprint Classic of some sort ( Leige Bastogne for me ) for starters , A Dolomites virtual world with a nice choice of some of the iconic climbs around there . Zoncolan,Stelvio et al . Stick Telegraph and Galibier on the end of the Alpe ( OK thats in Watty) . Swains Lane Loop in London ,

Agree with you. I have no idea about Bologna, even how to access it, much less what it is like. If a world is locked up in some event only restriction instead of on the main screen then I won’t bother to ride it.

Locking the worlds to three available only is ridiculous. Either change the PC and other versions of the app to prevent the world hack being used or open up the worlds all the time for everyone on all platforms. Select the world with a drop down menu, easy. In brackets, the menu shows how many people are there.

[ Watopia (1800) ]
Innsbruck (970)
Richmond (455)
France (1500)
Japan (600)

It’s not that difficult.

Innsbruck is one of the better courses and the climb is enjoyable. Japan on the other hand is very, very boring for me.

Just use zwift hack n choose which world you want to use at any time.

That way zwift can keep the 3 daily routes for those that want to use them.

You can then go anywhere you want at any time.

All worlds are working 24/7 on servers.

Not on Apple TV or iOS - no possibility to do worlds hack.

The drop down to replace the three tabs at the top would solve all the needs. All worlds available to everyone at once.

You can create a Meetup to ride on any of the worlds (except Bologna and Makuri) at any time. You only need to invite one other person, and they don’t need to show up

For Bologna you need to enter an event to ride there. You can enter the event and then quit the event straight away and just free ride there.

I disagree with you. Theses are good spot for races.
Of course, if you look for “cyclotourism”, they aren’t very intersting. But Zwift is a place for training and e-racing. The nature (IRL) is the place for “cyclotourism”. Well, actually it’s my point of you. And we all got a different one…

Watopia wasn’t very exciting when I first rode it in 2015. Which is the beauty of the true virtual worlds; they can become whatever is wanted and needed. The replicas are always hamstrung by the IRL locations. New York and London have “fixed” that by having the upper level / south side be different but the UCI worlds are just deadends in that regard.

Somewhere like Innsbruck could be expanded, there are many good roads and other climbs around there that I’ve ridden in real life, then you can also have another one on the other side of the river (cross the bridge that is already in Zwift) that is fairly short but steep.

Zwift is way too fragmented. That is probably because the brain behind the decision making is fragmented as well.

An endless succession of failures.

Steering is force fed,
Power-ups are cheats and killing off all spontaneous and pure efforts and is also force fed.
Sprints are decided by a wheel of fortune.
Roads are too small an narrow,
No interest in the Wahoo Direct Connect which could relieve many of a big headache.
No adjustable HUD,
No Pace Partners outside Watopia.
MTB tracks not available without steering.
My eyes are vibrating out of their sockets riding over wooden planks and gravel dust flashes cause borderline epilepsy attacks.
Every manufacturer of action cams are doing EVERYTHING to achieve the best image stabilization to prevent us from getting motion sickness watching YouTube clips of downhill MTB rides. But Zwift doesn’t get this. The irony of it is that Zwift doesn’t have to invest in hard- and software solutions like 5-axis stabilization and lens stabilization. They could just provide us with THE OPTION FOR CAMERA SHAKE !

WHY IS ZWIFT FAILING EPICALLY ?

It’s not run by cyclists and if you also don’t listen to your customers who are ALL cyclists, then you are doomed.

Take the corkscrew in the Balloon field in France. If THAT is not a huge middle finger to all Zwift users, nothing is. They WANT to make us motion sick. They WANT to suck your eyes out of their sockets by riding over planks.

How Zwift is run, is COMPLETELY beyond me.

Reading your negative postings I must ask this - why are you on Zwift?

A. What’s the alternative ?
B. I bet i have been longer on Zwift than you.
C. If there was an alternative, i would definitely not be on Zwift.

Did i forget to mention the “Double XP” messages around Tour of Watopia, etc ? I have been lvl 50 for ages now and the HUD is telling me, countless times during each ride, a +XP graphic.

WHY ?

I am not receiving ANY additional XP, and if and when, Zwift will start counting again from lvl 50 upwards, i will not even receive a fraction of the XP i was promised but did not get.

Who cares, right ?

Why start with the whole XP thing in the first place ?

@Michiel_Pinarolo: I’m sorry you find so many faults with Zwift. Clearly there are far more people who are not nearly as critical as you, and who think Zwift should serve only their needs. Yes, there are many things that can be improved about Zwift, but why can’t you try to be a positive force of change, instead of just whining?

As for alternatives you Zwift: it sounds like what you are really looking for is riding outside.

Yup ! Nothing beats riding outside.

So, according to you, all critique about Zwift is whining…

I call things what they are and you should stop whining about my critiques because i am expressing myself very mildly.

I will definitely leave all Power-Up junkies behind me on the actual climbs ! Who will save them from gravity then ??

They may call me a steam roller :tractor: :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

I’ll have eaten my burrito by the time they reach halfway the climb :burrito:

Must resist … the … call … for … the … Waa … M … Bu …

Nope. Not at all what I said, so don’t put words in my mouth. I was saying that your attitude of ‘my way is the only way’ is whining.
