Kickr Core and Update 1.70 Issues

Hello.
Since the last update, the watt values have fluctuated or there are dropouts. The cadence and heart rate are displayed normally. The journey took about 30 minutes, but after about 20 minutes the performance measurement failures increased. Every 40 seconds for 1-2 seconds. I then drove on Fulgaz for about 80 minutes and there were no interruptions.
I would like to send you the log files if you explain to me how?
Windows 10, Wahoo Kickr Core, Kickr Climb, Kickr Headwind and Zwift Play. - I sometimes had/still have connection problems with Zwift Play, but I can do without them. I did a spinning test, but that didn’t fix the problem either. And since the last update I haven’t changed anything in the hardware or connected other Bluetooth devices.

Hey Sebastian -

Nate from ZHQ here. I took a quick look at your account on the backend and I’d like to dig in a little more on your setup. It looks like you’re connecting to your KICKR Core using a combination of ANT+ and BLE. Specifically, the resistance and cadence are connected using BLE and the Power looks like it’s connected over ANT+. Further looking into the logs a bit, it looks like there are a number of ANT transmission failures.

Can you please try connecting Power, Resistance, and Cadence all over BLE and see how that goes?

Thanks,
Nate

Hi,

I used ANT+ because the transmission from the Kickr Core to the PC via Bluetooth no longer worked.

But with ANT+ I have the same problems as before with Bluetooth.

That’s why I asked in the Zwift forum and asked if anyone knew anything.

Try uploading a log file to zwiftalizer.com and it will visualize your dropouts. You can use that to move your antennas around to get better signal. RxFail for ANT+ will never be zero but if you can lower it and reduce the dropouts and disconnects you’ll probably have a better experience. I don’t think what’s happening is related to the update.

I use a USB extension cable to get a dongle closer to the trainer and Play controllers (currently using Bluetooth but I also use it with ANT+). I get zero disconnects with it properly positioned. You may also need to manage other sources of wireless interference in your environment. ANT+ is especially vulnerable to that.

but Zwift shows you are using bluetooth and ANT+ at the same time :man_shrugging:
