Kickr connected to Zwift but avatar not moving

I Have a new wahoo kicker and when I originally started using it in November I had it connected to a PC and it was functioning properly with Zwift.
Eventually it got wonky and my avatar would stop and I’d have to reboot it. Then I avatar would not move at all even though I was connected. I switch to Apple TV and no change. All my hardware and software are up-to-date on wahoo Apple TV and Zwift. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Also Their support number no longer works nor can you email them. Does anyone else have a way to contact customer support?

Hi @Johnny_Lychak, welcome to the forums. Do you have the wahoo app on your phone? Do you get wattage and cadence readings in the app? Just trying to rule out the trainer as the issue first.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I already went through that troubleshooting. The trainer does connect to the wahoo app and it works normally. Within disconnected from that app turn off all of their Bluetooth devices connect to the Zwift app and still nothing. I’ve rebooted and uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well.

So it works with the wahoo app, and doesn’t connect with your apple TV or PC?

Have you tried connecting to Apple TV through the companion app?

Have you tried installing zwift on your phone and trying that to see if it works?

Hi Mike

I have tried installing Zwift on my phone and it does not work. I have not tried using the companion app to connect although I will try that. It does
not work with my apple tv or my pc.
I will also try using a different app like Training Peaks and see if that works.

If you can, post a screen shot of the pairing screen from your apple TV and PC

I have the issues describe here but the solutions offered are not working. Help! I have spent two months trying to get this setup to work and my efforts result in going for a ride from my phone :frowning:

My setup: Wahoo Kickr, Wahoo Tickr, Windows 11 Home 24H2 and a USB Ant + Dongle with 2 meter usb extension.
Behaviors:
If I use the Zwift Companion App it recognized Kickr and Tickr but when I start a ride no data appears and I sit on the side of the road. There is no activity from the trainer.
With the ANT+ adapter sitting underneath the Kickr and not using the Zwift Companion App no devices are discovered. (Drivers are installed)
If I use Zwift on my phone (Samsung Flip4) then the Kickr will be recognized and generate data from a ride, but my Tickr will never show up.
The Kickr works fine with my phone (Samsung Flip 4)
My Tickr works fine with my Wahoo Element Roam computer.

Take out the ant+ dongle, and it should connect via Bluetooth directly to the win 11 PC (assuming it has bluetooth). Make sure all other devices are powered off, wahoo elemnt roam, phone, etc. So they arent stealing the signal from the trainer.

If that works then try adding in the HRM, but start with just the kickr and leave everything else off.

Thanks, Mike, for the tip but I have already tried that. The PC is a Lenovo Yoga with Bluetooth that connects just fine to other Bluetooth devices (Keyboard, Mouse, etc.) I was using just my laptop with nothing connected and it never will find the Kickr or the Tickr with or without the ANT+ adapter I have also done it with the cell phone Bluetooth radio turned off.
After an hour of troubleshooting tonight I went for a ride with Zwift on my phone and the only change is it actually picked up my Tickr and recorded data.
Any other ideas?

Are you trying to connect the kickr to the laptop system bluetooth (like you would if you were connecting bluetooth headphones or a speaker), or are you just opening Zwift and letting Zwift find the kickr?

Just letting Zwift manage the Bluetooth connections. I believe that is the approved method.
