It would be nice to have the ability to join another after you’ve logged into the program (seeing your avatar) w/o having to log out & back in again in order to see the “join another rider” option. Sometimes during a ride, a friend will log in & you may want to join them. However, I see no current functionality to accomplish this except logging out of the program entirely & then, back in again. Here, you’ve lost your ride data & will now have (2) files.
& if you do join another rider, the system should auto-select the route that he / she is currently riding by default instead of you having to txt “which way?” or go the “wrong way,” perform a U-turn, & then race to catch back on if you can (assuming they’re not in a group).
Agree! My wife and I ride side by side in the morning. I generally get on the bike 10-15 minutes before her and I have to pull over and wait when she’s ready. Her Zwift is on a Mac and uses the direct BLE connection. So, she has to carefully scroll through the list to find me. I’m not at the top even though we follow each other. After she selects “Ride with Me”, we have to call out each turn so we don’t go the wrong way. Much easier when your together, of course, than what Tearl has to do but would be so much nicer to know when you’re riding with someone that you’re on the same route. Done the U-Turn and killed myself many a morning!
Agree, if you have clicked to follow someone you should automatically be routed whatever way they go. Would also be nice to be able to jump to where another rider is mid ride by clicking to join them.
Another vote to have you automatically routed with the person you join with. Its a pain having to call out turns or fall back quickly to see the turn signal behind the rider your with.

Being able to find and join a friend already riding on the course was a feature I was surprised doesn’t already exist. I’m a newbie, but I’m not finding that feature so far.
Mark, you can join a friend if they are already riding when you log on (provided you’ve already requested them as a friend and they have accepted). In Windows, they will be at the top of the list when you select your ride. With Mac, you have to scroll down the list to find them. They will be highlighted. Would be nice if Mac’s put them at the top too!
I have this request … A RL friend who is not a rider wants to watch me do a race. They are not racers, but like to watch races, there should be a spectator mode, where you can just watch - no Avatar just there to watch … Its possible now, but not easy. I would like this … Search - Find - Watch …
