Join event from Companion while on startup screen

I have been trying to understand how some riders don’t get the join event button while warming up before the event.

So today I started zwift paired all my sensors and went to the next screen, but instead of selecting the event on my PC I decided to use the companion app. I clicked on ride and started to warm up but at 15 min before the event I did not get the join event button, I continued to ride until it was a bout 9 min to go and still no join event.

I went to the event on my phone (Companion App) and un-selected the event and re selected the event, and suddenly the Join event button showed up on my PC.

I don’t know if this is the solution for all riders but worth looking in to.

I usually start up Zwift within about 15 minutes on an event I have signed up for. If the join event button doesn’t show up I do as you described by unjoining and rejoining with the companion app. The join event button then pops up. This has only happened a couple times that I can think of. I have no idea what might lead to the join event button not showing up to begin with.
