Hi there, I was on a test run of my new Jetblack Victory last night and ran into a pretty serious race issue with the victory, wondered if anyone else came across it. So the ride I was in was pretty pacey, and we went up Volcano and pushed the pace a bit knowing I could coast on way down. However when I stop pedalling, my power and cadence would not drop to 0, power went from 300w then hung at 25 watts and cadence went from 90ish to 75 and remained there. This blocked the “supertuck” feature, which is a problem I wasnt expecting to have to deal with. So multiple times pedalling, and stopping, and it would never go to 0 until the flywheel completely stopped. I finished the ride, and then did a manual calibration in the Jetblack app, and went back to Zwift. Lo and behold, everything working again. But the trainer is supposed to have autocalibration, and I should not need to do that, I never did that with my Kickr. Anyway, mentioned it to a buddy who also has a Jetblack Victory, and he ALSO has the same issue, so seems there is an issue with the 4.9 firmware on them and auto calibration. I emailed support yesterday but not heard back yet. Anyone else seeing this issue?
I don’t get mine until mid December. I hope that’s fixed by the time it arrives. How do you like it so far?
The trainer is great, quiet, virtual shifting is a game changer, the Wifi and BT bridge is really lovely, but because of the issue with power, I cant use it. If calibration is not working I will need to use my Kickr instead until this is sorted out. A friend of mine who also has one has same issues, but is finding the power reading erratic too when in races. It may also be a calibration issue but we cannot be expected to calibrate ourselves in the middle of a race so I cannot trust the numbers right now.
I just received the JetBlack Victory this week…i have done 2 days of testing and dual recording vs my Assioma Duo that are always very close with my Neo2T and also checked on IRL Climbs with VAM Calculation.
Check the duals on my ZP Profile under analysis tab
There is a Description in mostly all of the duals about what are the problems.
I made a short video and you can see the crazy power reading with INSTANT Power.
I will post a longer review after 1 week of testing but at the moment trainer is showing 6% to 8% less Power than Assioma Duo.
Autocalibration after coasting is a problem also.
Maybe it is the autocalibration with the v shifting that is a problem because lot of people are getting problems with it overeading or undereading when virtual shifting is on
I tried without VS and it was not better. When i do a cold Calibration trainer is around 6W lower…when it gets warmer it drifts closer to 10W. When i do warm calibration it was always around 15W lower…i tried Spint autocalibration and it gets to similar number.
Next test today as i was on my Neo2T yesterday
