Only small issues with mine. I loaded 4.12.9 today and removed the power brick for 30 seconds to ensure good power reset and it connected via wifi.
Mine always connected via WiFi, but it would disconnect in the middle of a race when I rapidly shifted with play controllers to increase power. It would totally go limp and pairing screen would pop up. My issue with WiFi was intermittent. I would have to test this myself in a race tomorrow.
I have updated to firmware 4.12.9 (code 04_12_09 if you plan to test it) and I did quick 2km session (work tea break). Cadence presented correctly and used wifi connection option. Both seemed fine in this short ride.
I already rode this morning before work on v4.12.0 so I wonāt get to fully test 4.12.9 until tomorrow.
Any improvement on the power accuracy/calibration?
With the short 2km spin I canāt say I tested/verified that.
I just tried to update the firmware and the app keeps crashing every time it tries to download the firmware. It accepted the code and just as itās about to start the download, the Android app crashes out. Iāll have to wait for the official update I guess. Which is weird because Iām already running 4.12.
I had the same issue. I may try 4.12.0 tonight to see if that works. Iām still on 4.9
If it lets you update to 4.12.0 be mindful that the green light flashes for a few minutes after the update due to it updating the wifi, so donāt do anything else until the green light stops flashing. Good luck!
I sent another message and also sent one through Insta. Make sure to include your order number. I received a response through my email last night.
"Thank you for reaching out.

No name or contact information. Came from Jetblack Support. Iāll let you know the resolution. Thanks for your reply.
Replacement unit now being arranged. Hopefully wont be long, though at least Iām still able to use mine (not had any dropouts etc, just the vibration).
I asked for a replacement too and they said theyāre āsold outāā¦
Definitely shouldnāt be coming from the same pool. Thatās way out of order.
Getting one sent out as well. I donāt care about WiFi at this point I just want a smooth ride and no power drop outs when going on steep gradients.
Iām running the 4.12.0 firmware and have started to notice a pattern on my Connection Drops.
Iāve have it happen twice in the last two days and each time it happened when I was doing a steady, hard effort (about 350w) at a high cadence of around 100 and then went to stand up. This obviously caused a sudden drop in cadence and a brief drop in power. In each case, the trainer just completely drops out and I get āConnection Errorā in Zwift.
I have to get off and unplug/replug the trainer and it will reset in a few seconds.
Prior to the last two days, I had done mostly long steady Z2 rides and had no drops. These two harder efforts were much shorter, so it seems to be a function of how you are riding.
This seems to correlate somewhat with what JBV is saying about the cadence bug so Iām assuming the issues are related in some way.
As others have said, between these issues, the power accuracy, and the vibrations, I think this thing is going back and a Kickr v6 will be replacing it.
App still crashing on Android for me trying to update to 04.12 or 04.12.09, so still on 04.09
Iāve been using my power meter (Quarq) for power always but tonight I just used the Victory for everything but heart rate. All Bluetooth. No drop out issues in 1.5 hours, so cool.
Only problem now is the power is lower than my Quarq. Dual recording showed the Victory 8% lower at the start and 5-6% lower by the end of the workout. I suppose you could call that the difference between a crank based PM and all the losses recorded through the drivetrain? I dunno.
This was just an endurance ride, so no intervals or anything.
Hereās a zoom on a 5 min section in the middle.
I am happy to report that firmware 4.12.9 solved my WiFi dropout issues. @Aaron_Long My issue was identical to yours. Sudden connection loss after standing up and increasing power. I donāt have any vibration or accuracy issues, so WiFi was the only problem. The stage 2 of flat is fast went smoothly today over WiFi. No connection drop during hard sprints. I am a happy camper for now.
Just got my Victory and took it for a test ride. Does anyone get a louder rumble sound in higher gears? Feels a little weird as well. Maybe Iām just not use to smart trainers.
Thatās good to hear, Iāll give it a try.
I do have some slight vibration but it itās tolerable and does seem to get better after the trainer warms up a bit.
I get more rumble at lower cadence⦠which may be the same thing?
I have also loaded 4.12.9 and found that the WiFi seems more stable and cadence values appear to be correct now. I havenāt had problems with vibrations or power numbers. JBās support has been ok regarding questions I have submitted.
