Issue installing bike (2024 Giant Propel Advanced) on Wahoo Kickr Core + Zwift Click & Cog V2

I’ve been struggling all day to install my bike (2024 Giant Propel Advanced) on a Wahoo Kickr Core (without cassette) using the Zwift Click & Cog V2 Upgrade kit. Despite following the instructional videos for both the Wahoo and the Zwift Cog, I’m having issues with fitting.

I measured the distance between the frame tubes where the wheel sits (142mm), and the instructions suggest using adapters C and D. However, after installing these, my bike slides slightly on the adapters, and the tubes bend inward (about half a cm in total I think) when I tighten the thru-axle. When I tried using adapter E, the distance was too great, and I couldn’t mount the bike at all.

The Kickr Core instructions seem to assume a standard cassette is installed, not the Zwift Cog V2, which might be causing the issue. However, I’ve read that the Zwift Cog V2 should be compatible with the Kickr Core, and the retailer (van Bon Sport) confirmed this as well.

Any advice on why this isn’t working or what I might be missing? Wahoo support hasn’t been helpful, they just said it should fit and then stopped responding, so did the retailer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have difficulties to understand.
Many have the same issue.
On my side I managed to install my 25 years old bike in just few seconds, everything worked fine immediately.
Even connections etc etc.
Would be happy to know more about these incompatibilities.

Hey Stephane,

Thanks for your response. To make it shorter: the rear tubes of my bike bend half a centimeter when I install the bike when I use the adapters that the manual instructs to use, which should not be the case as the carbon can break.

Are you sure you have the adapters correct way around? Sounds same to what I had initially, did not realize they are reversible :stuck_out_tongue:

Post some photos and show us how the axle adapters are installed on the trainer?
