Hi All,
I think this issue is with Apple (and now me!) following the installation of IOS 18.1.1. I Zwift using my Iphone XR and project to a monitor using a lightning adapter, I have very rarely had any issues with this until I installed IOS 18.1.1 as now the signal does not leave my phone to project onto the monitor (not just on Zwift - it’s the same on the home screen & any other app). The set up is completely unchanged and works fine using my son’s Iphone (using an earlier version of IOS). I have tried restarting the phone numerous time and done a network refresh and have run out of ideas… has anyone else experienced this?
I can still use Zwift on my phone but it’s far from ideal using the small monitor on my phone… especially with my diminishing eyesight!).
Any assistance would be welcomed…
Is the HDMI adapter the Apple branded “Lightning Digital AV Adapter” or one from a 3rd party? If it’s the Apple adapter I would contact Apple support. If it’s not then you may need to get the Apple adapter in order to get support.
Thanks for your reply Paul - I thought that it was an Apple adaptor… but upon further checks, it isn’t
I have this exact problem. Iphone XR - updated to ios 18 - no longer transmits via my lightning/ hdmi cable to my non smart tv. This is after 4 years of faultless usage. My ancient iphone 5 (which I just use for spotify when on zwift) mirrors on my tv via the same cable no problem with ios13.(Unfortunately its way too old to run Zwift or I would use it)
Sorry I have not found a solution yet - bit frustrated that I might need to get a smart tv or apple tv to solve this
Is the adapter an Apple branded one, or something else? If it’s the genuine Apple product, contact Apple support.
Yes it is a genuine apple adaptor, I will contact Apple support and see what they say, thanks
