Introducing Zwift Companion Fitness Tracker [April 2025]

It’s not currently but they suggested they were looking at further improvements

Reasons why outdoor rides are not included?

so double xp for those who dual record?

Yep good thing irl xp is quite low.

Update - I am now seeing some of my past outdoor bike rides populated in my activity feed visible on the ZC app. Must just be that it takes a little time for the two systems to sync when you first make the transition.

Were do i adjust my monthly goals it use to be at the bottom of the maine page on Zwift companion app on android i was able to sdjust the length by kilometers now its gone. Cant seem to locate it.any ideas where its gone.

The fitness tracker posted my Thursday ride as happening on Friday. I didn’t realize I had unlocked time travel—should I be concerned?

You can see Thursday is clearly underlined, but the ride shows up on Friday:

:camera_with_flash: Thursday ride misfiled under Friday

And now my Thursday and Friday rides are all merged into one mega-entry:

:camera_with_flash: Friday — multiple rides mysteriously combined

Click/touch the goal area top center of the fitness tracker, you can cycle through the different goals (distance, time, calories, etc) and set amounts.

I agree that goal setting should be optional. However, for those of us that want them they have changed for the worse.

I have used monthly distance goals for years and now it appears that only weekly goals can be set?

If that is the case please can we have the option to set monthly goals for distance and time as we could before the update?

ZRL took that personally.

Seen that but it seems i cant set a monthly goal like the old set u

I second that. I don’t want it on my Companion app until they work out all the bugs, etc. Don’t need to be a beta tester for this.

They probably have a trend line showing subscriptions dropping sharply this time of year, had to get this out before that point hit.

So I levelled up today with XP earned from my outside ride but didn’t receive any unlocks (should have gotten my fire socks!)

Hello everyone.
So I’ve followed the directions for getting credit in Zwift for outside rides I record on my Garmin Edge 1040 Solar. I disconnected my Zwift account from my Garmin account and then reconnected the accounts, making sure both apps can write to the other. Still not seeing anything in Zwift. Is my Edge 1040 compatible for this function? Any guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Okay so new problem for me, because I track my rides on my watch to get better/more data on the Garmin side of things…

Companion is now doubling my ride information, so it’s reading my virtual rides too
Which is… not ideal.

It’s kind of the reason why I disconnected Garmin from Zwift in the first place, but now I’m right back where I started it seems; but in this case, I can’t even correct for it because it’s behind closed doors.

At this point I’m not even trying to abuse the system, but the fact that Zwift isn’t even ignoring rides that are flagged as virtual is definitely problematic; and I don’t necessarily want to disconnect it completely again because then I don’t get my commutes and actual outdoor rides.

I want to play by the system, but this also breaks my data… it thinks I rode 5 hours today because it’s counting my virtual data from Garmin, and also the Zwift ride.

This needs to be resolved.
Virtual rides ≠ outdoor rides, and should not be accounted for.

That should have been a no-brainer.
For Zwift to automatically assume that anything recorded on Garmin or Wahoo is outdoors is beyond belief.

The fact that they went as far to limit the amount of XP you can get for distances, but overlooked virtual rides is… indeed quite the oversight.

Hi there. While I appreciate the works and news, I’m quite displeased to see a goal imposed upon me, with no apparent way to remove it. I do not appreciate the app assigning me a “weekly time goal” and showing me my progress towards that, as if it’s my boss. While this feature may be useful for some, I’m perfectly capable of tracking my own fitness in my own way. Most of my activity happens outside Zwift anyway, especially during the warmer months. Please complete the April 2025 update by adding an option to turn the Fitness Tracker feature off.
