Not sure where my original post went so sorry if this is a repeat.
Using kickr v5 with erg mode workouts, for ex the type found in “8-12 week ftp builder”.
Everything works fine with “3 second averaging” but will bot work with instant power. In instant power mode it reads my cadence accurately but puts my wattage at zero. The guy on the screen pedals in place but will not move so I cannot do the workout. The workout timer won’t even start. If I switch back to three second averaging everything works fine other than the crazy amount of lag which is apparently typical
Hi @big_nuts, welcome to Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.
It’s pretty strange that everything was working fine, and now there’s this issue that’s stopping you from doing your workouts like usual.
I’d suggest trying a spindown calibration in the Wahoo app. I noticed your Wahoo KICKR CORE V5 has the latest firmware version 4.3.0 from the Wahoo website.
Likewise, it might help to reset the game preferences on your Mac since Zwift can sometimes hold onto outdated info, like trainers or sensors that were linked before. This could help narrow things down.
If your avatar isn’t moving even though everything looks connected, check out this specific article: Not Moving In Game.
Lastly, give your setup a spin in a different app to see if the same thing happens.
I was able to fix the issue by simply going back to three second averaging instead of incident power.
I don’t know if it has anything to do with the last update but now it works either way
