IIRC time gaps have been jacked up for a while now, ever since they tweaked the fence “to be more accurate” I believe.
Much like the gradient issue in London doesn’t seem to be a high priority to fix. It definitely makes sweeping more interesting though since you can never trust the time gaps
In a “keep together” meetup today, with meetup-only view, the time gaps for our group of four were all over the place. See attached screenshot - those times in green are for all four riders, who are together on the road.

When you’re in a race with many riders you can just see the time gap of the riders nearby. You don’t know the time gap to the breakaway for example. It would be nice if the time gap could be presented like it does on a broadcast. See attached drawing. [time_gap]
We had an odd group ride today. Hilly Vanilli (1855 EDT US) just started street side in Richmond not in the pens.
Rider distances were correct but times were way off (a rider visible 1-2 meters ahead would show a 20+ gap time).
