Incorrect time gap in meetup

I noticed today a rider passing me seemingly with a time gap of +0:08 or so when she was passing me, and the time gap continued to be off by the same amount as we moved along, like so:


As you can see, the other rider (Willis) appears on the nearby riders list in the correct position but with a smaller gap than the riders immediately behind her. This happened in a meetup, so I’m wondering if this is perhaps a function of our original starting positions along the road being apart by the same amount or something.

IIRC time gaps have been jacked up for a while now, ever since they tweaked the fence “to be more accurate” I believe.

Much like the gradient issue in London doesn’t seem to be a high priority to fix. It definitely makes sweeping more interesting though since you can never trust the time gaps
