Incomplete power numbers in Zwift Power from recent event

Just accepted you Dean.

Just reran stage 4 on pc. Got through it without crashing & Zwift named the ride appropriately. Companion app was froze/delayed the whole time however.

FWIW my pc took a lengthy Zwift update prior to start.

This is ATV version I’m on.

Crikey, you arent having much luck!

Looking at your Makuri Group Ride activity that is still showing live, I’m seeing an anomaly… your activity should look similar to the below rider’s activity - they were a few places ahead of you in that event and I can see you in the riders list in the finish line pic of theirs. You should be able to tap on other Event Info and Rider entry list like they can.

Their default Activity image is also the correct Makuri Group event image like your one from your most recent event - yours shows the default Makuri image. Put another - have a look at your Stage 4 activity vs Stage 3 in your activity - quite different.

Those differences suggest to me that you had a data error of some description during the ride although it may have been a data error between Zwift and ZP servers. You may have noticed riders disappeared at one point momentarily but not necessarily so.

I’m keeping my finger’s x’ed that your Stage 4 comes out ok.

Have to ask as I cant see it mentioned - your non-PC devices are all running latest versions?

Yup, latest ATV versions. I’m in the habit of checking for updates when i log in.

Yes, my stage 3 ATV attempt had a few seconds where riders disappeared. Something that’s been happening more lately. My stage 4 ATV crash had no such dropout that i can recall.

Your ATV is on Wi-Fi?

Yes as was the PC.

It’s likely your drops are caused by local issues. Suggest you reboot your router regularly, and move as many devices in your house to 5Ghz band if you can (I think ATV is 2.4Ghz). Also, bluetooth devices, nearby fans and electronic stuff can impact your wi-fi signal so get things turned off or moved away from your Zwift environment… You can also use a phone based wifi analyser app to find a wifi channel that doesn’t compete with neighbours/devices.

Wifi dropouts aren’t super-easy to diagnose unfortunately.

If you can ethernet connect your ATV or PC for Zwifting, your chances of a dropout will normally improve dramatically.

Stage 4 all good I see. Phew. I think you are also now ZP B and probably CE B too based on your Stg 4 numbers. Good effort.

Thanks. Yeah, my last season numbers expire when I start riding outside. Just migrated back indoors and needed to re-earn everything. These Tour events are good to get body and equipment tuned up for racing. On that note, I’m going to do a full assessment of my wifi this weekend and likely make some upgrades. I’ve got the wifi guy from work helping me out.

Did 2 ATV events tonight. Moved ATV & my phone over to the 5G wifi frequency & seemed better.
