I give in. Time to look elsewhere

Endless clicker dropouts. It connects easily at the start of a route but my android phone drops out the clicker after a minute. Have tried all suggested remedies still no joy. My prior android worked flawlessly with zwift and now using the platform is a real pain due to reconnecting every few mins. Thought of buying the new play controllers as a remedy but the feedback on them is just the same…constant dropping out. So obviously an issue that has been around some time. Will research other platforms now.

Using other platforms probably means using a multi-gear cassette and shifting mechanically, which you could also do in Zwift if you want. Getting rid of virtual shifting means you can do as you please - you can look elsewhere, or not.

I use the Play controllers and have never experienced a dropout, on a Windows PC with a cheap Bluetooth dongle.

What phone out of interest?

You’re correct time to revert to a normal cassette

Samsung smartphone sma166b

My original phone was a Motorola which ran zwift perfectly. Unfortunately that phone was smashed hence a new phone

This Samsung is also known as a Galaxy a16 5g if that helps

That is a very cheap phone with a weak CPU and only 4GB RAM in the 128GB model. Of course it does meet the published minimum specs for Zwift but I’m not shocked that it does not work very well. That CPU is probably getting quite a workout.

I could have predicted it’d be a newer Samsung.

I’ve seen numerous unexplained issues with Samsung and BT connections. I’ve had an older and newer Samsung with identical setups for QZ. The old works, The new doesn’t and there’s no logical reason for it.

Never had a problem with my Samsung A33 connecting to Zwift or my Garmin with BT, however, my Huawei P30 lite was absolutely useless for BT connectivity to either
